Eddie “ Shack” Williams, Jr.

Eddie “ Shack” Williams, Jr. of Newbern, Tenn., was born Dec. 26, 1948, to the late Eddie Williams, Sr. and the late Jessie Mae Williams. He was a truck driver and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville. Mr. Williams passed away on April 13, 2019, at Jackson Madison Co. Hospital in Jackson, Tenn., at the age of 70.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Williams, Sr. and Jessie Mae Williams, and two brothers, Lloyd Williams and Leroy Williams.

He is survived by three sons, Issac Bernard King, Robert Williams of Tulare, Calif., and Eddie Williams III of Tulare, Calif.; three special daughters he raised as his own, Laselle Menifee of Blytheville, Farrah Menifee of Jonesboro and Vivian Harris “Edwards” of Blytheville; one brother, Randy Williams of Newbern, Tenn.; six sisters, Betty Jean Kelly, Eddie M. Perdue and Dorothy J. Thompson, all of Blytheville, Annie M. Lockhart of Chicago, Ill., Glouristeen Floyd of Blytheville and Delores S. DeBose of Gosnell; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville, with the funeral immediately following at 2 p.m. Rev. Odale Jones will be officiating. The burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville.
