Lee (Elie’) Izmerian

Lee (Elie’) Izmerian, 70, of Jonesboro and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Lee was born in Nazareth, Israel, to Anania and Nabiha Izmerian. He came to the United States in 1974 and was a resident of Blytheville until August 2018. Lee owned 3-D Sporting Goods for over 30 years and was a member of the Blytheville Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro, and was a former longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Blytheville. Lee loved his family more than anything.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Isabel Khoury and Renee Izmerian.

Lee leaves his wife of 41 years, Cathy, of the home; two daughters, Melissa Kennedy of Jonesboro and Elizabeth Speed of Little Rock; brother, William Izmerian and his wife Fadia of Blytheville; sister, Ophelia Shehadeh and her husband Habib of Nazareth, Israel; “Pappy” to three grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Addisyn Kennedy of Jonesboro and Landon Speed of Little Rock; and nine nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at First United Methodist Church in Blytheville with Rev. Zach Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at First United Methodist Church.
