Alfred Gene Wright

Alfred Gene Wright of Gosnell was born Jan. 10, 1942, in Joiner to the late Roy Wright and the late Gertrude Wright Woods. He was a tractor mechanic and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Wright passed away on Jan. 25, 2019, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 77.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Joseph Wright; three brothers, Robert Wright, Roy Wright and William Carl Wright; three sisters, Betty House, Thelma Page and Ethel Day.

He is survived by three sons Carl Wright of Maine, Alfred Wright, Jr. of Nashville, Tenn., and David Wright of Gosnell; five daughters, Kathy Williams, Debbie Grim, and Teresa Chapman, all of Little Rock, LaDonna Vaughn of Blytheville and Laura Lloyd of Gosnell; one brother, Tommy Wright of Harrisburg; four sisters, Earline Halfacre of Gravette, Stella Darling of Palestine, and Bernice Wright and Mary Holland both of Forrest City; 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a host of other friends and many relatives.

A visitation was held from noon til 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville, with a memorial service immediately following at 1 p.m. with Bro. Tommy Wright officiating.
