Jimmy L. Bell, 53, of Blytheville passed away, Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at North Metro Medical Center in Jacksonville. He was born in Herbert, Ark., on Nov. 10, 1965 and was the son of Jimmy Lee and Artie Mae Wilson Bell. He was a member of New Born Lighthouse Church of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Joe Blockman, and a daughter, Shanice Bell.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Patricia Metcalf-Bell of the home; one daughter, Aaliyah Bell of the home; four sons, Mario(Melanie) Bell of Blytheville; Christopher Metcalf of Pittsburg, Calif.; Preston Allen (Lanita Cox) of Blytheville and Jimmy Bell III of Texas; four brothers, James Bell of Florida, Maurice (Taffie) Bell of Peoria, Ill., Curtis Blockman of Blytheville and Willie Coward of Florida; one sister, Betty Jean Davis of Springfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 2, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1215 East Street, Blytheville. Bishop Brian Olden will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home.
