Pamala Sue Cooper

Pamala Sue Cooper, 61, of Leachville, passed from this life Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at her home. Born in Stuart, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Conrad Young and had been a longtime Florida resident before making her home in northeast Arkansas in 2000. She was a certified nurse's aide and had been a longtime employee of the Manila Nursing Center where she was a two-time recipient of the employee of the month award. Pam enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed dancing at the Buffalo Island Jamboree in Monette and watching old westerns.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Isaac and Maggie Padgett.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, David Cooper of Leachville; four daughters, Charlene Armstrong (Cliff) of Okeechobee, Fla., Mary Pierce (Craig) of Paragould, Jennifer Ring (TJ) of Manila, Brandy Cooper (Michael Henderson) of Leachville. She also leaves her mother, Catherine Plourde (Richard) of Port St. Luci, Fla.; stepmother, Norma Young of Eufala, Ala.; one brother, Conrad Young, Jr.(Donna) of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; two sisters, Rita Hatton (Scott) of Crawford, Tenn., and Patricia Sagner (George) of Ft. Lupton, Colo.; grandchildren, Jason Armstrong, Alex Armstrong, Caleb McCollom, Jacob McCollom, Alyssa Siltman, Ethan Ring, Gabriel Moore and Jasmine Moore.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Eddie Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery in Paragould.

Pallbearers will include Craig Pierce, Alex Armstrong, Michael Henderson, T.J. Ring, Jessie Clark and Cliff Armstrong.

The family will receive visitors Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
