Odell Mabins, 83, of Osceola died Friday, December 28, 2018 at his home.

In his early childhood he attended Gospel Temple Baptist Church in Luxora.

During his early twenties under the leadership of Pator Godfrey Holman, Church of God in Christ in Erie,PA, he professed Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Deacon Odell Mabins served as president and teacher of YPWW and was co-founder of Lighthouse Prayer Temple Church of God in Christ in Luxora.

He was a high school graduate of Rosenwald in Osceola. He worked as a manufacturer employee for 30 years and a railroad crossman guard for 10 years in Erie, PA. He served as a member for the Model Cities Agency in Erie, PA and was instrumental in his wife receiving her Social Science degree.

He was also very supportive in his wife's Evangelizing Ministry at the Superior Emmanuel COGIC in Erie, PA. He was a great husband always protecting, providing for his family and he was a lover of God and people. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Mabins and Ruby Davis, his brothers Larry Davis, Michael Davis and Matthew Davis and his sisters Ann Davis and Peggy Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Lois Mabins of Osceola, three sons Larry (Anniea) Mabins and Lydell (Paula) Mabins of Erie, PA and Titus (Amanda) Mabins of Cincinnatti, OH, one daughter Deloris Mabins of Knoxville, TN, two brothers Ronald Davis and Tony Davis of San Diego, CA, three sisters Irene Davis of San Diego, CA, Odessa Polk of Lemon Grove, CA, and Ernestine Lanehart of Rialto, CA, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Nehemiah Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Blytheville. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola, with Pastor Larry Mabins officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
