Braxtyn Lee Howard Newton

Braxtyn Lee Howard Newton, 17 months, of Monette, passed away in his parents’ arms surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at St. Jude Hospital. He was born May 23, 2017, in Memphis, Tenn., to Tony and Brittany Howard Newton. Braxtyn was a very smart happy go-lucky little boy with a heart of gold. He loved his brothers and his family. Braxtyn lived to make people smile and he loved his food, dancing, playing, cuddling, and giving kisses. Braxtyn fought so hard and brought so many people together.

Survivors include his parents, Tony and Brittany Newton of the home; two brothers, Bryson Alexander Howard and Wesson Dean Newton; great-grandparents, Buddy and Linda McMinn, Gene and Shella Howard and Debra Sorenson; grandparents, Allen and Sherrie Gann, Eddie and Shirley Wells, James Sparkman, Tony and Angie Newton and Vernon and Lue Ann Rogers; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at the First Baptist Church in Monette with Pastor Larry Russell officiating. Interment will follow at the Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors Monday at the church from noon until service time.

Pallbearers are James McMinn and Lee McMinn. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Woods and Danny Wells.
