Peggy Lou Battles Sutton

Peggy Lou Battles Sutton, 82, of Luxora, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Peggy was born in Blytheville to Elmer and Rubena Ford Battles. She was a private nurse and a member of Luxora Church of Christ. She devoted her life to taking care of her son, Michael, and meeting his needs and tending to her family. She enjoyed meeting the needs and caring for the people she loved the most. Peggy loved being a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning food to put up for the winter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Sutton; and two brothers, Bobby and Jerry Battles.

Peggy leaves her sons, Larry Sutton and his wife Terry and Michael Sutton, both of Luxora; brother, Elmer E. Battles of Dexter, Missouri; three grandchildren, Wesley Sutton and his wife Brittany of Blytheville, Patty Sutton and Nathan Goodman of Osceola and April Sutton of Osceola; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 22nd at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Barry Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens in Caruthersville, Missouri. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home.
