Luther “Son” Collins, Sr.

Luther “Son” Collins Sr., 76 of Osceola died October 12, 2018 at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro.

He was a retired gin worker of 55 years at Delta Products and was a member of St. John Full Gospel Church. Mr. Collins was born September 6, 1942 in Rotan, AR to Johnny and Ruby Dean Harden Collins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Kevin Collins, eight brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife Deborah Collins of Osceola, four sons Ollie (Sandra) Collins and Luther Collins Jr of Osceola, Russell (Tonya) Collins of San Antonio, TX, Reggie (Tara) Collins of Germany, three daughters Jean (Chico) Goree and Paula Gutierrez of Grand Rapids, MI and Pamela (Von) Wilson of Osceola, two stepsons Ty Mitchell of Jonesboro and Christopher Jefferson of Osceola, two step daughters Kila (Eugene) Chew and Shakonda Hale of Osceola, one brother John Collins of Osceola, three sisters Herlene Gavin, Mary Collins and Edna Jean Adams of Osceola, a host of grandchildren, a host great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The visitation will be held Friday October 19, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral is Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at New Mt. Pleasant M.B Church in Osceola. Pastor Gregory Baker will be officiating. The burial will be held at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home Osceola.
