Clay Jones, Jr.

Clay Jones, Jr., 68 of Blytheville entered into the presence of the Lord at his home on Friday morning, October 12, 2018. Born September 12, 1950 in Steele, Clay was the son of Clay, Sr. and Helen Franklin Jones. He was a retired United States Navy Veteran and a member of New Galilee Baptist Church in Burdette.

Clay leaves to forever cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Marie Gibson Jones of the home, five daughters, Teresa (Tim Johnson) Jones of Pontotoc, MS; Lisa (John) Matthews of Jonesboro; Wendy (Anwar) Powell of Olive Branch, MS; Amanda Jones and LaSondra Riley both of Blytheville; one son, James Clay (Ketierra) Jones of Blytheville; two sisters, Clara Jones of Blytheville, and Mary Ann Jones of Osceola; two brothers; James Jones and Elijah (Anna) Jones all of Blytheville, four grandsons, Isaac, Evan, Clayton and Chandler, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, October 19, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 930 South Lake Street, Blytheville where Bishop Theodis Rucker is the pastor.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Bishop Theodis Rucker will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow in Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Burdette.
