Katie Lee Shockley Henderson

Katie Lee Shockley Henderson, 83 of Blytheville passed away Saturday September 29, 2018 at her home. Born September 4, 1935 in Armorel, Katie was the daughter of Robert Collins and Glindora Buckner. She worked for many years as a custodian in the Blytheville School District.

She is preceded in death by her husband Elijah Henderson, and two children Annie Hodges and Roy Lee Henderson.

Katie leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Shirley Eskin, Diane Henderson, Ella (Derek) Hatcher, and Darlene Henderson all of Blytheville; sons, John Henderson, Curtis (Sue Ellen) Henderson, Edward Charles (Cassie) Henderson all of Blytheville; and Leonard Henderson of Fort Smith, AR; brothers, Reverend E.L. (Glenda) Shockley of Cape Girardeau, MO; Lucius Shockley, Robert Collins both of Pontiac, MI; and Lee Daniel Shockley of Galesburg, IL; 57 grandchildren, 163 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Katie Lee Shockley Henderson will be conducted Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Prince of Peace Church, 501 East McHaney Street, Blytheville; Terrell Rogers is the pastor. Reverend E.L. Shockley will deliver the eulogy.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
