Tammy Jean Raspberry Hodge, 57, of Blytheville, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 while being surrounded by family and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lee-Ora Raspberry and her father, J.W. “Fotch” Raspberry, Senior, along with her sister, Madeline Jones and brother, Richard Raspberry. Tammy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bryan Hodge; two daughters, Ami Hopper and her husband Anthony and Victoria Hodge; two grandchildren, Andrew and Adam Hopper; two sisters, Glenda “Susie” Bearden an Joyce Anne Raspberry; four brothers, J.W. “Sonny” Raspberry and his wife Linda, Jimmy Lee Raspberry and his wife Brenda, Kenny Raspberry and his wife Pamela and Marty Raspberry and his wife Cindy; and many family members and dear friends.

Tammy was a very kind, loving and courageous person who inspired many people throughout her life. She gave the word “fighter” a new meaning after battling breast cancer for 16 years. She game many people hope by being an active participant in Mississippi County’s Relay for Life and served as a member of the Survivor Committee. She loved gardening, cooking, her companion/dog, Molly, and being “Meme” to her two grandsons. She leaves behind her beloved town and a community of friends and family, but her love and presence will remain eternal. She always gave words of encouragement to anyone she met. “Courage is being scared to death..and saddling up anyway.”.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 28th at 3:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel to celebrate Tammy’s life with Rev. Mike Welch and Rev. Josh Raspberry officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home.
