Margretta Morton Chrise

Margretta Morton Chrise, 88, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 in Osceola.

Margretta was born in Kaylor, Pennsylvania to Gerald and Anna (Wyles) Groves. She was retired from Munkittrick in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Margretta loved to garden and grow morning glories. She enjoyed crocheting and playing with cats. Margretta had a big, loving heart and was always taking care of other people and tending to their needs before her own.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Morton and Albert Chrise; her parents; and her daughter, Peggy Samick.

Margretta leaves her son, William “Bill” Morton and his wife Kathy of Blytheville; two brothers, Gary Groves of Butler, Pennsylvania and Lloyd Groves of Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Rita Walborn of Oroville, California and Tillie Greenawalt of Butler, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 1st at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. T.J. Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
