Martie Charles Moody

Martie Charles Moody, 63, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Martie was born in Blytheville to Artie and Irene (McCook) Moody and was a former employee with Blytheville Waterworks. Martie served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. When serving overseas, he served on the Korean Demilitarized Zone. Although his rank was Staff Sergeant, Martie took on various roles in the Army, including drill sergeant, paratrooper and recruiter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Artie; and brother, Stanton Moody.

Martie leaves his mother, Irene, of Lake City; two children, Tiffany Ralph and Alan Moody, both of Clarksville, Arkansas; brother, Chad Moody and his wife Valerie of Jonesboro; and several grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 10th at 11:30 a.m. at Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
