Richard “Dick” Bratton

Richard “Dick” Bratton, 75, of West Memphis and formerly of Gosnell, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dick was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to James and Beatrice (Burch) Bratton. He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force for over 21 years before retiring. Dick was also a retired civil service employee and worked in supply and logistics. He was a Mason and enjoyed golfing. Dick served as a reserve deputy sheriff with the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Department and reserve police officer with Gosnell Police Department.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bell Bratton; his parents; and one sister, Marian.

Dick leaves his daughter, Angela Bratton of Marion; brother, James Bratton of Ohio; sister, Nancy Parks of San Bernardino, California; and six grandchildren, Julia, Isaac, Donna, Winter and Simon Pillaro and Rylan Warmath.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 7th at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
