Sterling “Scooter Bill” Leroy Wooldridge

Sterling “Scooter Bill” Leroy Wooldridge, 71, of Mountain Home, formerly of Blytheville, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. He was born in Blytheville to Otis and Iantha Rustin Wooldridge on May 13, 1947. Mr. Wooldridge served his country in the Vietnam war. He became disabled due to being exposed to Agent Orange.

His hobbies included fishing, especially for crappie and catfish. He liked to watch the news and being kept informed. He enjoyed talking about his past, growing up, his time in the army, everything that explained who he became. He also enjoyed going to the casinos, and spending time sitting on his own patio, usually napping. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patsy Woodridge, of the home;

One daughter, Betty Davis (Danny), of Blytheville;

One son, Will Wooldridge, of Mountain Home;

Five Grandchildren: Tabitha Wooldridge, Joey Davis, Amber Polk, William Wooldridge, and Nicholas Wooldridge;

Four great-grandchildren: Addison Davis, Aubrey Polk, Davis Polk, and Ella Wooldridge.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Carney Funeral Home in Blytheville with Dr. Tommy Carney officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00. Interment will be in Mt Zion Cemetery in Steele MO. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com
