John Dee Sanders

John Dee Sanders is rejoicing in Heaven as he has been reunited with his wife of 61 years, Ruby. Mr. Sanders, 94, of Cole Ridge passed from this life on Friday, June 8, 2018 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro surrounded by his family.

John was born in Jasper, Alabama to J.W. and Rosa Sanders. He was a Christian and a charter member of Cole Ridge Baptist Church. John was a retired construction worker of Fulks Construction of Memphis. He enjoyed mowing lawns, gardening, working concrete and playing Rook. He loved his family and his cat, Abbie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; his parents; two brothers; one sister; and his son-in-law, Jerry Stovall.

John is survived by his daughter, Betty Stovall of the Cole Ridge community; one son, Bill Sanders and his wife Judy of Blytheville; and one grandson, Michael Stovall and his wife Jessica of Florence, Alabama.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Walker officiating. Burial followed in Dogwood Cemetery. The family received friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Cole Ridge Baptist Church, 2555 North County Road 535, Blytheville, Arkansas 72315.
