Mary Frances Phillips

Mary Frances Phillips, 71, of Cardwell, formerly of Leachville and Gardener, Ill., passed from this life Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. Born in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Sylbia Phillips McPherson and was a 1964 graduate of Leachville High School. She was a resident of Gardener, Ill., for 41 years before returning to the Leachville area in 2012.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Danny Phillips of the home; her son, Jeff Phillips of Gardener,Ill.; her daughter, Sheryl Thompson and husband, Bill of Grove, Okla.; one brother, Sammy McPherson and wife Kathy of Cardwell, Mo.; two grandchildren, Steve Thompson and Samantha Thompson, and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 1, in the Cardwell Cemetery with Darrel Philips officiating under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. No visitation is scheduled.
