Chorolette Allen, 89, of Blytheville passed away April 9, 2018 at the Ridgecrest Nursing Facility in Jonesboro. She was born July 4, 1929 at Frenchman’s Bayou to Charlie and Georgia Thompson Ford. She attended Double Bridges Elementary School. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and became a member of Burdette Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willie Allen, sisters, Nannie, Essie; brothers, Jessie, Mack, James, Clarence, Charlie, William Henry, and Nathan, and a niece she raised as a daughter, Georgia.

Although she never had biological children she was given the blessing of raising her nieces and nephews when her sister Essie passed away.

Chorolette leaves to forever cherish her memories her beloved niece Maxine Ford (Otis) Washington, loving nephew Elbert Ford all of Chicago, a great nephew, Julian Knots of Blytheville, two sisters, Ida Ford Ousley of Blytheville, and Freddie Mae Ford Travis of Los Angeles, and many other nieces, nephews cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday April 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division St. Blytheville.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

McDonald-Horne Funeral Home is in charge of services and arrangements.
