Johnny Smith Hendrix

Johnny Smith Hendrix, 79, of Lepanto died April 3, 2018 at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro. He was a farm worker and of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Hendrix was born May 5, 1939 in Florence, Alabama, to John Ham and Ida Brown Hendrix. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Stacy Hendrix, two brothers, Lonnie Hendrix and James Wheeler Hendrix three sisters Mattie McWilliams, Lizzie Travis and Thelma Wood. He is survived by four sons, Johnny Hendrix, Jr., Ray Hendrix, Howard Hendrix and Freddie Hendrix of Lepanto, one daughter, Brenda Fisher of Lepanto, one sister, Hattie Groom of Fort Meade, Florida, ten grandchildren, one great grandchild and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be Friday, April 6, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. with the funeral at 3 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Burial will be at Potter Cemetery in Lepanto. Bro. Danny Wilson is officiating.
