Kathleen Routon

Kathleen Routon, 89, of Manila, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. She was born Feb. 8, 1929, to Robert and Nora Condley Coffman in Hector. She married Bob Routon on May 10, 1946. She was a homemaker and a loving grandmother. Kathleen was a member of Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church in Manila and taught Sunday school for over 40 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one infant brother; and five sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Routon of the home; son, Raymond Routon (Portia) of Tyronza; daughter, Brenda Flippo (Dennis) of Hoxie; sister, Virginia Hays of Hector; grandchildren, Charles Flippo (Dana), Brad Flippo (Angela), Kristy Graham (Danny), Kathy Brothers (Barron), Rachel Routon, and Rebekah Routon; great-grandchildren, Casey Flippo, Hunter Flippo, Chase Flippo, Mackenzie Flippo, Drew Flippo, Rylee Graham, Maddie Flippo, Ty Flippo, Karsyn Graham, and Brody Brothers.

Visitation was from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Funeral followed at 2 p.m. with Raymond Routon, Mackenzie Flippo, and Larry Deaton officiating. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Great-grandsons served as pallbearers.
