Helen Jean Wilchie

Mrs. Helen Jean Wilchie, of Hot Springs and formerly of Marie, was born August 8, 1954 in Frenchman Bayou to Mary Williams Dority. She was a retired housekeeper and of the Baptist faith. She passed away February 2, 2018 at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs at the age of 63.

She is survived by three sons, Gerald Wilchie and Louis Wilchie, Jr of Hot Springs and Anthony Wilchie of Conway; two daughters, Stephanie Jackson of Hot Springs and Latoya Wilchie of Jonesboro; seven brothers, Faheem Amie of Mississippi, Robert Cooper and William Bowen of Memphis, Tenn., James Cooper of Caruthersville, Mo., Michael Cooper of Waco, Texas, Ira Dority of Steele, Mo. and Ronnie (Hurcetta) Dority of Chester, Va.; four sisters, Laura Sims of Chicago, Ill., Clara Purdy of Humble, Texas, Carolyn Dority and Sabrina Hunter of Steele, Mo.; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her husband Louis Wilchie, Sr., two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. The funeral will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Rivercrest Gardens in Marie with Rev. Waldo Campbell officiating.
