Dorothy Jean Taylor

Ms. Dorothy Jean Taylor, 76, of Blytheville transitioned from her earthly home to her new home in Glory on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Born December 21, 1941 in Bassett, she was the daughter of Blevin Lee and Annie Mae Jones Riley. Dorothy was a dutiful member of Living Word Cathedral Church of God and Christ where she served on the Mother’s Board and retired from American Greetings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eddie and McFee; and a sister, Annie.

Dorothy leaves to forever cherish her memories, two sons, Blevin Williams of Minneapolis, Minn. and Walter Taylor, III of Wisc.; four daughters, Diane (Jeffery) Davis of Jonesboro, Larna Bingham of Tulsa, Okla., Valerie (Aaron) Woodruff of Blytheville and Audrey (David) Thomas, also of Blytheville; one brother, Lloyd (Jeanette) Riley of Bassett; two sisters, Gracie Jackson of Joiner and Ollie Ambrose of Osceola; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Dorothy Jean Taylor will be conducted, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Living Word Cathedral Church of God and Christ, 207 North Elm Street, in Osceola. Elder Archie Thomas will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Evadale.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from noon until 1:00 p.m. at the church.
