Clayton Lincoln Jackson

Clayton Lincoln Jackson, 74, of Leachville, passed from this life Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at Advanced Care Hospital in Searcy. Born in Leighton, Ala., he was the son of the late Abraham Lincoln and Mary Naomi Adams Jackson and was raised in the Tuscumbia, Ala., area. He was a retired farmer having worked for the Hale Seed Farm in Burdette.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Mary Jo Jackson of the home; two sons,

Clayton Earl Jackson of Booneville, Miss., and James Ray Jackson of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two daughters, Marilyn Camburn of Blytheville and Lisa Ann Philpot of Horn Lake, Miss.; two stepdaughters, Sheila Bailey of Mountain Home and Tasha Parker of Manila; two sisters, Magie Jane Glenn of Maulton, Ala., and Earline Tidwell of Tuscumbia, Ala. e also leaves 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Sandy Ridge Cemetery near Blytheville. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
