Mrs. Winifred Pauline Jones (Winnie), 70, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. Winnie was born in San Francisco, California to the late John and Jewell House.

Winnie was both a loving mother and homemaker sharing 42 years of marriage with Earl Jones. While she had many accomplishments during her life, what she was most proud of was her son Tommy. She cherished the time she had with him and her grandchildren. She would often be heard talking about how proud she was of him and what a great father he is.

She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and was passionate about growing her roses. Christmas was one of her favorite holidays, Winnie enjoyed making homemade candy and treats to share with family, friends, and neighbors. She left a special place in the hearts of all those she touched.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents and step mother Huleth House; Four brother in-laws Elmer Richardson, Norman Trott, Robert Burgan, and Tom McCoy.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Jones (Carla Trammel) of Blytheville; three grandchildren, Colby Kelley and Caitlyn Jones, both of Blytheville and Christopher Jones of Jonesboro; one great grandchild, Remington Kate Chailland; four sisters, Nancy Richardson of Fort Smith, Rosemary Trott of Mansfield, Texas, Jo Coon of Metairie, Louisiana and Rhea McCoy of Dayton, Tennessee.

She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of long-time friends.

Winnie’s final request has been honored by her family having a private Celebration of Life. Expressions of sympathy may be sent directly to her family.
