Mr. Willie Osman “Bill” Smith, 91, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Heritage Square Nursing Home in Blytheville.

Bill was born in Golden, Oklahoma to Walter and Mary Catherine (Adkins) Smith. He was a retired farmer and farmed out in the Armorel area. He loved animals and had several hunting dogs, and at one time, had 15 dogs and several cats. His house was a drop off place for dogs. Bill had a soft heart and could not turn the dogs away whenever they showed up. Bill was a dedicated service man who served in several branches of the military including the United States Army, Marines, and retired out of the Navy. He had over 20 years of service to our country. He attended Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church and would sometimes attend Huffman Church of God. Bill was a family man and loved his family very much.
