Air base alert pad considered for national registry

The State Review Board of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program will consider 13 Arkansas properties in eight counties — including the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home at Dyess, Blytheville Air Force Base Strategic Arms Command (SAC) Alert and Weapons Storage Areas Historic District at Blytheville and Sherman Mound in Mississippi County — for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places when it meets at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, at the Department of Arkansas Heritage Building at 1100 North Street in Little Rock.
