Mrs. Brenda Mae Southern, 65, of Blytheville, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at her home.

Brenda was born in Blytheville to Hobert and Bertha (Kinchen) Green. She was retired from Creative Foods in Osceola as a packer. Brenda was a lifelong resident of Blytheville and a member of the Revival Center. She enjoyed her family, especially playing with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald Ray Southern; and a sister, Charlotte Gordon.

Brenda leaves her husband, Ray Southern of the home; three children, Vickie Abbott of Port Barre, La., Nathan Southern of Gosnell and Penny Paschal of Gosnell; four brothers, Jackie Green of Blytheville, James Green of Lake City, Larry Green of Gosnell and Stanley Green of Gosnell; one sister, Sandy Sanders of Gosnell; five grandchildren, Bryan Abbott, Derrick Abbott, Ashley LaCombe, Justin Southern and Shawn Paschal; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 24 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Culp officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
