Mr. Roy Lee Blair, 63 of Blytheville transitioned from earth to eternal Glory Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his home. Born June 7, 1954 in Armorel, Roy was the son of Albert and Mary Williams Blair. He retired from J.W. Gibbons Trucking as well as the Mississippi County Sheriff Department.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Willie, Ernest, Michael, Demoid, Gray, Bessie and Edna; sons, Roy, Jr. and “P.J.” Tederian; and a grandson, Devon.

He leaves to cherish his legacy his wife, Mary Foster Blair of the home; step mother, Ella Blair of Blytheville; five daughters, Mary Lou Blair Shavers and Neferterria Blair, both of Clarksville, Tenn., Sallie (James Ponder) Blair of Hosccton, Ga., Sandi (Wayne) Tharrett of El Dorado, Ark. and Christy (Jeff) Culp of Harvest, Ala..; one sister, Martha Hubbard of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, George (Morticia) Blair of West Memphis, Don (Geraldine) Blair of Blytheville and Charles (Tracie) Mitchell of Jacksonville, Ark.; fifteen grandchildren, Ma’Ryah Shavers, Tim Lewis Shavers, Lamonte Shavers, Xavier Shavers, Dewayne Blair, Isaiah Blair, Tedasia Blair, Austyn Culp, Brooklyn Culp, Alysson Tharrett, Zachary Tharrett, Anastasia Tharrett, Montana Tharrett, La’Netria Menifee and La’Marco Wilborn; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services for Roy will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Faith and Glory Christian Fellowship Church, 1510 Kari Lane in Blytheville, where Reverend Adron Poole is the pastor. Bishop John Blair will deliver the eulogy with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The visitation will be from noon until service time on Saturday, November 18, 2017.
