Mrs. Charlotte Bailey McFarland, 72, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Charlotte was born in Cooter, Missouri to Ben and Geraldine (Dooley) Bailey. She was retired from the Arkansas Welcome Center and of the Baptist faith. Charlotte was also retired from Terra as the human resource supervisor and Eaker Air Force Base as the housing director. Charlotte was very active in the ESA Sorority, and was the former president of the local chapter as well as the former state president. She was a workaholic, loved to travel, and had a passion for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob McFarland; her parents; daughter, Gina Hicks Boggan; and brothers, Carl and Leroy Bailey.

Charlotte leaves two sisters, Brenda Altom of Mandeville, Louisiana and Mary Lou Chandler of Little Rock; brother, Bobby Bailey of Deering, Missouri; her companion of 15 years, Danny Hurt of Blytheville; step-children, Cary Joellen and LeAnne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Doke officiating. There will be no visitation.
