Imogene Henton

Ms. Imogene Henton, 82 of Luxora, transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at the South Mississippi County Hospital in Osceola. Born August 5, 1935 in Chicago to Fred and Annie Laura Edwards Williams, she was educated in the Blytheville School District and was a graduate of Richard B. Harrison High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. Imogene was a retired educator and a member of Gospel Temple Baptist Church in Luxora.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Linda Henton of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jacqueline Lewis of Burlington, Iowa and Sherry Henton of Luxora; four grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday October 13, 2017 at Gospel Temple Baptist Church in Luxora with Reverend Michael McKinnie delivering the eulogy and burial to follow at the Luxora City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday October 12, 2017 in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home.

McDonald-Horne funeral directors are in charge of services and arrangements.
