MSGT Dick Wilson (ret.)

MSGT Dick Wilson (ret.) of Keiser, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at NEA Hospital of Jonesboro. He was born to the late Woodrow and Ozeal Wilson on December 16, 1940 in Lilbourn, Missouri. Dick served in the United States Air Force for twenty years and twenty-two days as a flight engineer and served in Vietnam. He is also retired from Shell Refinery in California after leaving the Air Force. He helped with Toys for Tots for many years and was a member of the Lion’s Club. He was a member of Keiser First Baptist Church and a Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved to fish, read and work in his yard. He loved his family and friends dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Lona Wilson of Keiser; one son, Dan (Diane Newby) Wilson of Tacoma, Wash.; two daughters, Geri (Bo) Sturgill of Missoula, Mich. and Dawn (Frank) Dorsey of Fairfield, Calif.; three stepchildren, Sarah (Randy) Griffin and Chris Main, both of Keiser, and Josh (Beth) Bennett of Gosnell; two sisters, Debbie Akins of Keiser and Joyce Ballard of Millington, Tenn.; three brothers, Ronnie Wilson and Andy Wilson of Keiser and Roger Wilson of Osceola; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carolyn Coble and four brothers, Charles Wilson, Donald Wilson, Joe Wilson and Mike Wilson.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
