William T. “Billy” Reid

William T. “Billy” Reid, 77, of Blytheville, passed from this life Friday, September 15, 2017 at his home.

Billy was born to Tommie A. and Vergie Irene Thomas Reid in Blytheville. Billy was retired from Borg Warner and was a lifelong area resident. He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965 during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion. Billy was a lifelong devoted member of First Baptist Church. He was a member of the church choir and the men’s Sunday School Class. Billy most recently served the elderly community and homebound as a meal delivery driver for the Mississippi County Senior Citizens Center and the Area Agency on Aging. He will be remembered as a very loving, caring, gentle person, who never had an unkind word for anyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Reid Dilldine; and a nephew, Tommy Dilldine.

Billy leaves his wife, June Cunningham Reid of the home; one sister, Faye Nagel (Ted) of Roanoke, Virginia; two nephews, Jeffrey Nagel (Leeann) of Richmond, Virginia and Timothy Nagel (Patricia) of Roanoke, Virginia; one niece, Karen Dilldine of Blytheville; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20th at 2:00 .m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Justin King officiating. Burial will be private.
