Leachville -- Jewell Dean Stockton, daughter of the late Fred and Delpha Eva (Bransford) Angotti, was born Oct. 10, 1945, in Hollywood, Mo., the youngest of 13 children, and departed this life Aug. 20, 2017, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice in Jonesboro, at the age of 71.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Andrew Stockton and his wife Tammy of Leachville, and Tammy Renae Bowman and her husband Alan of Jonesboro; four sisters, Buelah Tennant of Ravenna, Ohio, Ruby Tucker of Elisinore, Mo., Rosalee Wrather of Blytheville, and Francis Smith of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; grandchildren, Tommy Jr., Ashley and Rayley Stockton of Hoxie, Brittany and Trey Walker of Osceola, Brevan and Breah Bowman of Jonesboro, and Holly Stockton of Leachville; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Jessie, Frankie, Ernest, Everett and Willis Angotti and three sisters, Gladys Haynie, Opal Wheeler and Mary Mansfield.

Jewell lived in Hollywood until 2005 and then moved to Leachville. She accepted Jesus and was baptized in 1955 at the age of 10 at Lulu Baptist Church. She was very active in church. She moved her membership to Second Baptist Church when she moved to Leachville and is still a member there. Her desire was to have all her family accept Jesus as their Savior and serve Him. Jewell retired after working many years in home health. She was honored as “Homemaker of the Year.” She also worked at Correctional Counseling.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 pm. Wednesday, Aug. 23, at McDaniel Funeral Service in Senath. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at Lulu Baptist Church in Senath with Rev. J.E. Crews and Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will be at the Lulu Cemetery in Senath.

Pallbearers are Bruce Angotti, Frankie Lee Angotti, Jr., Douglas Bush, Gary Shepard, James Keith and David Wheeler.
