Mrs. Peggy A. Baxley, 70, was called home Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her home in Enid, Miss. Mrs. Baxley was born in Manila. She was a member of Lambrook Baptist Church in Lambrook. Some of her hobbies included fishing, traveling, gardening, and taking care of her flowers. However, nothing was more important to her than spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Visitation was from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at Coleman Funeral Home in Oxford, Miss. A funeral service was at 10 a.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home. Paul Koonce officiated.

Also, a graveside service was held at 3:30 p.m. at Leachville City Cemetery Saturday, July 8. Gregg Funeral Home was in charge of the graveside service.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Danny Baxley, Sr., of Enid, Miss.; one son, Danny (Missy) Baxley, Jr., of Oakland, Miss.; one daughter, Bebe (Jeff) Baxley Hickey of Oxford, Miss.; three grandsons, Thomas L. Baxley of Oakland, and Barrett D. Baxley and Danny Clinton Hickey, both of Oxford; one granddaughter, Kristin Caroline Hickey of Oxford; one great-grandson, Thomas Bentley Baxley of Oakland; three sisters, Evelyn Pierce of Hot Springs, Annette (Edward) Wooldridge of Batesville, and Geneva Coolson of Leachville; one brother, William Scott of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Scott and Adell Scott Patterson, and her brother, Bob Scott.
