Mr. Van Alexander, 85 of Blytheville passed away on June 27, 2017 at his home in Blytheville. Born May 2, 1932 to Vince Alexander and Lillie Mae Scrubbs in Holly Springs, Mississippi, he was retired farmer by trade and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents, Vince and Lillie Mae Alexander.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Bertha Alexander of Blytheville; three daughters, Joan (Johnny) McCriston of Rancho, N.M., Glenda (Dennis) Patton of South Bend, Ind. and Glenda Davenport of Sacrament, Calif.; two sisters, Ollie Mae James of South Bend, Ind. and Jerline (Bruce) Moss of Malden, Mo.; nine grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Annie (James) Hall, a special niece, Anna Brown of Blytheville; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday July 1, 2017 at True Light M.B. Church in Blytheville. The funeral will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Jay Slaughter officiating. Interment will be at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville.
