Michael Chad Hawkins

Michael Chad Hawkins, 39, of Manila, passed from this life Thursday, June 22, 2017, at his home. Born Nov. 4, 1977, in Kennett, Mo., he was raised in Leachville and was a 1996 graduate of Buffalo Island Central High School. He had worked as a professional welder and was currently a supervisor for Thompson Industrial Services in Osceola. Chad enjoyed boating and fishing on the St. Francis River and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Curtis and Donna Pender Hawkins of Monette; one son, Tyler Hawkins of Leachville; three daughters, Destiny Hawkins, Kara Hawkins and Kristen Hawkins, all of Leachville; one brother, John Eric Hawkins of Monette; one sister, Keri Shrable of Manila. Chad also leaves two grandchildren and his fiancee Cheryl Imler.

Funeral services were 11:30 Monday, June 26, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Pastor David Price officiating. Burial followed in Manila Cemetery.

Pallbearers were J.R. Lawrence, Scott Rose, Nicholas Cagle, Jeremy McCoy, Marvin Helton and Matt McCormick.

The family received visitors Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
