Cathey Shepperson

Mrs. Cathey Shepperson, 69, of Burdette left her walk of life on May 30, 2017. She was born February 16, 1948 in Rosa, Arkansas to Clyde and Willa Hill. She grew up in the Rosa and O’Donnel Bend areas and attended Luxora School. She enjoyed thrift store shopping and being around her family.

She was a 40 plus year retired employee of Wal-Mart store #74 in Osceola.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 20 years Jerry Byrd and her second husband of 30 years Marvin Shepperson; her parents, Clyde and Willa Hill; one brother, J. C. Hill; two sons, Wesley Byrd and Floyd Shepperson and one granddaughter Whitley Bishop.

She is survived by two sons, Douglas (Debbie) Byrd and Archie Shepperson (Michelle), all of Osceola; three daughters, Lisa (John) Page of Harrison, Lori Byrd (Scott Pully) of the home and Dorothy Cook (Jimmy) of Osceola; her grandchildren, Noah Bishop, Larry Mustion, Destiny Shepperson, Gary Shepperson and Beth Whitlow; great-grandchildren Josh Cook and Gabby Whitlow; four sisters, Wilma Jean Schifo and Erma (Billy) Todd of Chicago, Ill., Melva Webb of Conway and Nadine (Bobby) Gifford of Osceola; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Bro. Allen Barron officiating. The burial will be at Rivercrest Gardens in Marie.
