Mr. Guy Dwayne Carlton, 52 passed away on May 25, 2017 at his home in Dyess. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Lepanto, a retired diesel mechanic and a lifetime resident of the Dyess area.

He is survived by his mother, Ruthie Mae Mounce of Springdale, Ark.; step-mother, Nelda Carlton of Elkins, Ark.; his wife, Miriam Carlton of Dyess; three sons, Kevin Bailey of Pine Bluff; Bryce (Michae) Proffitt of Charleston, Ill.; Clayton (Hannah) Carlton of Chelford, Ark.; two daughters, Sara and Michele Avery both of Blytheville; three brothers, Bobby Carlton of Springdale, Ark.; Julian Baker of Mo.; and Larry Carlton of Yellville, Ark.; two sisters, Jannie Andre of Kentucky and Laura Baker Lawson of West Fork, Ark.; two step-sisters, Tammy Knowles and Jeanie Dingledine, both of Elkins, Ark.; one step-granddaughter, Annie Proffitt; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Carlton.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at First Pentecostal Church in Lepanto, with the funeral immediately following. Bro. Johnathan Neely and Bro. Bill John Harris will be officiating. The burial will be held at Rivercrest Gardens in Marie. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home or Osceola.
