Around 9:30 a.m. Friday, officers of the Blytheville Police Department, Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol responded to Walnut and 15th streets, where Terrill Jones, 22, was arrested on charges of fleeing, resisting arrest, littering and driving while license suspended or revoked. According to Police Chief Ross Thompson, a Highway Patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on Jones on Highway 61, after he was apparently following the officer too close as they entered the Blytheville city limits near Love’s. During the stop, Jones allegedly threw his paperwork at the officer, said he wasn’t going to jail and took off. Jones was captured on Walnut after a chase involving multiple agencies.
