Sue Ivie, 73, of Manila, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Hamilton and Ruth Hamilton Riggs. A lifelong Manila resident, she was the valedictorian of the 1961 graduating class at Manila High School and was a charter member of the Westside Baptist Church. She was a case worker for the Arkansas Department of Human Services, retiring in 2003.

She is survived by one son, Mark Allen Ivie of Manila; one daughter, Ronda Lynn Power of Manila; two sisters, Linda Johnson of Dallas, Texas, and Kay Walker of Richardson, Texas. She also leaves four grandchildren, Aaron William Power, Sarah Lynn Power, Tyler Dillon Hoskins and Nicholas Arthur Hoskins, and two great-grandchildren, Alexander Hoskins and Kaidyn Dunkel.

Funeral service was 10 a.m. Monday, March 27, at the Westside Baptist Church in Manila with Rev. Jeff Dial and Rev. Eddie Hawkins officiating. Burial followed in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. The family received visitors Sunday evening from 5:30-8 at the church.

Pallbearers included Aaron Power, J.D. Shepard, Michael Mattingly, Charles Quinn, Earl Jackson and Chris Crook.
