Woodrow Cook

Mr. Woodrow Cook, 98, of Gosnell, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at his home.

Woodrow was born in Gosnell to Charles and Dollie (Bryeans) Cook. He was a retired farmer and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Woodrow spent 30 years on the Gosnell City Council and was a past president of Gosnell Water Association. He was a past member of the Gosnell Lion's Club. He also served as Justice of the Peace on the Mississippi County Quorum Court and was a past board member of the Mississippi County American Red Cross. Woodrow was an avid fisherman and loved fishing for crappie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tessie Cook; his parents; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Woodrow leaves his son, Harmon Cook of Blytheville; sister, Diane French of Florida; and grandson, Gregg Cook and wife Amy of Helena, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 6 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home.
