Mrs. Linda Humphrey Quarles

Mrs. Linda Humphrey Quarles, 79, of Olive Branch, Mississippi and formerly of Blytheville, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 31, 2016, with her family by her side. Born on November 29, 1937, in Blytheville, Linda was the fifth of seven children. She grew up and graduated from Blytheville High School in 1956. She lived in Blytheville most of her life until she moved to the Memphis, Tenn. area in 1994.

Linda worked for Autozone, Inc., in the Construction Development department, in Memphis, until she retired in 2009. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Blytheville most of her life, and later became a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Southaven, Mississippi.

Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She always put others before herself, and was always willing to help those in need.

She is survived by two children; one daughter, Tina King (Gary) of Olive Branch, MS. and one son, Wade Quarles (Holly) of Germantown, Tenn.;

Seven grandchildren, Christie Kraft (Nick), Jeff King, Chris King (Reed), Julie King, Nicholas Quarles, Briley Quarles, and Tate Quarles;

Three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Kraft, Parker Kraft, and Evie Rose Kraft.

One brother, Gil Humphrey (Margie) of Memphis, Tenn.; and

One sister, Pat Crosskno (Dennis) of Orlando, Fla.

Ms. Quarles was preceded in death by her husband Donald Wade Quarles, Sr., her parents Glen and Blanche Humphrey and four siblings.

Her life will be celebrated on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Broadway Baptist Church, 7400 Getwell Road, Southaven, Miss., with visitation at 1 p.m. and a memorial service immediately following at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to St. Jude
