Jackie Moore

Mr. Jackie Elliott Moore, 68, of Blytheville passed away on December 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Blytheville on June 7, 1948 to James Frazier Moore and Rosa Bell Lemons Moore. He graduated from Blytheville High School and served in the Navy for over four years.

When he was younger he worked at The Ritz and drove a Toms truck, but he worked for Nibco for 40 years. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals -- he did not miss a game! His every day attire was cardinal clothing. He also loved to call the Hogs! He enjoyed squirrel hunting, fishing, and taking the kids camping. He loved the slot machines at the casinos. He also enjoyed watching Bourbon Street on the computer. He was a good cook. He had a great sense of humor -- he and his wife used to own a store call "Just Joking Gag Gifts and More". He could make anyone laugh and always had a smile on his face. He loved to get the grandkids riled up and then send them home. If the grandkids wanted to spend the night he would say "let me check my calendar" with a big grin...he loved his grandkids.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Dolly Faye Moore and Ada Ruth Moore Bayles.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Becky Jennings Moore, Blytheville;

Four daughters: Stella J. (Michael) McMinn of Pocahontas AR, Sandra Forever Moore (Timothy) Sweet of Cooter MO, Jackie Annette (Josh) Moore-Moody of Blytheville AR, and an "adopted" daughter, Tosha Bates of Jackson TN;

Ten grandchildren: Mikey McMinn, Shelby Lynn McMinn, Abby Lee McMinn, Skyler VanDyke, Shylan VanDyke, Zach Moody, Tanner Moody, Parker Moody, Madison Adkisson, and Taylor Bates;

Two brothers: James Moore and Gary Moore both of Blytheville;

Six sisters: Dorothy (Sonny) King of Louisiana, Pauline "Snooky" (Arnold) Farley of Beckley, W. Va., Betty Jo (Danny) Schmidt of Mattoon, Ill., Sharon Glasscock of Memphis, Tenn., Pam (Ralph) Moore of Bay, and Debra Priest of Springdale, Ark.;

His mother-in-law "Mom", Joyce Eaton, of Blytheville;

Three brothers-in-law: Ricky Jennings, Jimmy Jennings, and Joey Simpson;

Several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 22 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Carney Funeral Home in Blytheville. Graveside services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Carney Cemetery with Rev. M L Smith officiating.
