Caraway -- Len Redding, 92, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born March 15, 1924, in Oklahoma to the late Lee Redding and Dosie McDonald Redding. He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. He loved to garden and enjoyed barbecues with his kids.

He is survived by his children, Jerry Redding and Johnny "Skip" Redding, both of Jonesboro, Jim Redding and wife Lisa and Freida Elder, all of Caraway; five grandchildren, Larry Dean Elder Jr., Stacey Elder Jeffers, Jerry Wayne Redding, Shawnia Redding Douthitt and Tyler Redding; 10 great-grandchildren, Clay Redding, Cody Redding, Cameron Redding, Allison Vaughn, Brittany Craine, Cortney Craine Orris, Christopher Craine, Josh Elder, Jessica Elder and Paige Elder; eight great-great-grandchildren, Craig Elder, Aidan Stull, Alice K. Redding, Ethan Stull, Robert Collins, Mason Elder, Brentley Orris, Kacen Orris; and special friend, Alta Miles.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Vaudine Swafford Redding; two grandchildren, Kiana Redding Gatlin and Wesley Dubar, and seven siblings.

A celebration of his life was 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Ron Langston officiating. Burial followed at Caraway Cemetery.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Gregg Funeral Home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Randy Jeffers, Gary Jeffers, Asa Boatman, Bill Shirley, Merrit Emery and Tommy Wilbanks.
