Tommy Ray Burnett, 57, of Manila, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at his home. He was born June 14, 1959, in Trumann to the late Elton and Mamie Frances Mann Burnett. He was a lifelong Northeastern Arkansas resident and was retired from the steel mill. Tommy was ordained as a minister in 2002 and loved to evangelize. He loved the Lord and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his family and camping in Hardy. Tommy was an avid outdoorsman which allowed him to enjoy God's creation.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Charlene Burnett of the home; five children, Tonia Marie Cox (Harry Clapp) of Burdette, Misty Dawn Ramirez (Michael) of Luxora, Laci Michea' Spencer (Michael) of Manila, and Schyler Camille Chamberlain (Zachary) of Manila; his paw baby, Max; four brothers, Jerry Burnett of Marmaduke, Russell Burnett (Carlene) of Monette, David Burnett of Trumann and Joe Burnett of Keiser; two sisters, Barbara Roark and Mary "Susie" Owens, both of Keiser; 11 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James "Duke" Harold Burnett; and one sister, Patricia "Sissy" Renee Rogers.

The family wants to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at the Leachville First United Methodist Church with Bro. Michael Fair officiating. Burial followed in Manila Cemetery with Faith Funeral Service of Manila in charge of arrangements.

The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Pallbearers were Michael Spencer, Michael Ramirez, Harry Clapp, Zach Chamberlain, Tyler Sims and David Clapp, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren, Madison Ramirez, Tanner Spencer, Max Clapp, Jade Ramirez, Chase Spencer, Kylee Ramirez, Noah Ramirez and Camryn Clapp.
