Andrew Bennett "Benny" Powers

Mr. Andrew Bennett "Benny" Powers, age 77 of Searcy, formerly of Manila, died Monday, November 7, 2016 in Searcy. He was born May 23, 1939 in Coldwater, Miss. to William Chester Powers and Janie Virginia Bourland Powers. He was a member of Searcy First Baptist Church and a retired employee of Entergy.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Nell Barcom Powers of Searcy; two sons, Steven Bennett Powers of Callahan, Fla, Andrew Todd Powers and wife Brenda of Cabot; and four grandchildren, Laura Powers, Corey Powers, Madison Powers, and Drew Powers. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Warren Powers, Freddie Mitchell Powers; and one grandson, Shane Collins.

Visitation is Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 am at Searcy First Baptist Church with interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens.
