Geneva Clark Zook

Monette -- Geneva Clark Zook, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 17, 2016, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She went peacefully and, as always, was blessed to be surrounded by her family. Geneva was born Nov. 1, 1922 in Monette to Andrew and Bessie Clark.

Geneva graduated from Monette High School in 1941. She was a loving mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to raising her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Monette First Baptist Church. Geneva was a very talented cook and a homemaker. She was married to Jack for 31 years and enjoyed many wonderful, fulfilling years together with him. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother and had many close friends.

Geneva is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Judy Gipson of Benton; a daughter, Diane Golden of Monette; seven grandchildren, Brian Roddy and wife Kim of Paragould, Jan Cole Roddy and wife Kendra of Monette, Todd Gipson and wife Gina of Caraway, Kris Gipson and wife Angie of Monette, Micah Gipson of Monette, Chad Carter of Benton and Nicole Stewart and husband Kevin of Monette; eight precious great-grandchildren, Sarah and Lauren Roddy, Matthew Gipson, Jackson Roddy, Carson Browning, Kaden Roddy, Logan Gipson, Zaylee Stewart, and two nieces, Cheryl Cook and Karen Hook.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Gipson and Jack Zook; parents, Andrew and Bessie Clark; a sister, Lucille Brinkley; two brothers, Roy and Luke Clark; a nephew, Jimmie Clark.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Monette First Baptist Church.

A celebration of Geneva's life will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21, at Monette First Baptist Church with Gary Gipson officiating. Burial will follow at the Monette Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Brian Roddy, Jan Cole Roddy, Todd Gipson, Kris Gipson, Chad Carter, Kevin Stewart, Ronnie Qualls, Robert Chambers, Bob Blankenship, Kris Kelton, John A. Johnson and Terry James.
