Hospitals benefiting from the private option

In spite of the current political climate which often leaves it painted in a negative light, the Affordable Care Act and the State of Arkansas' Private Option Medicaid Expansion program have been beneficial to the hospitals in Mississippi County. The private option uses federal funds in its first phase to expand Medicaid to more people, using those funds to offer them coverage from privately owned insurance firms like United Healthcare or Blue Cross. Over time, however, the state will have to come up with its own funding for the program as federal dollars will be slowly rolled back.
