Betty Stark

Betty Stark, 89, of Lexington, Tennessee and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at her home. Betty was born to Adolph and Rose Ostrom in Presho, South Dakota. She was retired from American Greetings and loved to travel, especially going on cruises. Betty enjoyed yardwork and raising a big garden. After the vegetables were ready, she liked to can them with her daughters. Betty also enjoyed making jams and jellies. She was very good at using a computer and loved to search on Google and keep up with everyone on Facebook. Her family was most important to her and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Stark; her parents; grandson, Jonathan David Farthing, IV; great-granddaughter, Amber Dominique Kendrick; son-in-law, Johnathan David Farthing; brother, Robert Ostrom; sister, Vida Ostrom; and her infant children, C.L. Stark, Jr., John Lewis and Roberta Edwina Stark.

Betty leaves her children, Linda D. Farthing and Bettye Mesh and her husband John both of Lexington, Tennessee;

Brother, William Ostrom of Thayer, Missouri;

Sisters, Linda Holman of Trumann and Erma Woods of Alton, Missouri; grandchildren, Jill Goddard, Lisa Kendrick, and Cynthia Brooks; and

Great-grandchildren, Steven and Hope Brooks and Darrell Brock III.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 9th at 3:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Kendrick officiating. Burial will be private.
